1912 - Company Founded

Genesee Valley Lithograph founded by Herman Meyering to primarily serve the growing agricultural business around the western and upstate NY regions.

1940 - Name Change

The name changes to Hammer Lithograph when Walter Hammer becomes company president. In this time, the company grew rapidly, necessitating expansion to larger facilities.

1988 - New President

4th generation and current president and CEO, Jim Hammer becomes president of the company.

1997 - New Product Offering

Hammer Lithograph adds in-mold labeling to product offerings

1998 - New Headquarters

Hammer broke ground on our current Corporate Headquarters, adjacent to RIT

1999 - New Product Offering

Hammer begins producing roll-fed labels in the growing market

2000 - Jason Hammer joins the family

5th generation and current VP of Manufacturing, Jason Hammer, starts working at Hammer Packaging.

2007 - Expanding technology and offerings

Hammer purchases our first Web Offset – Variable Sleeve Offset Press (VSOP) and expands product offerings to include shrink sleeves.

2010 - First of its kind

Hammer produces the first microwavable foam label

2012 - Company growth continues

Rapid growth necessitates an expansion of our corporate headquarters facility
