Hammer Packaging has earned the area's most coveted business distinction, the Rochester Business Ethics Award (RBEA). This award places Hammer in a very exclusive and prestigious group. This remarkable achievement recognizes and rewards Hammer's core business practices and people-oriented culture.
The RBEA is modeled on the national American Business Ethics Award, which was founded in 1994 by the National Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP). The award program recognizes companies that exemplify high standards of ethical behavior in their everyday business practices and in response to crises or challenges. Hammer is exceedingly proud to have been awarded this honor.
Hammer Packaging has consistently followed a simple set of guidelines which define our culture, and which we use daily to direct our interactions with associates, vendors, customers and our community. Each Hammer Associate carries with them a small card noting our Shared Values that drive our culture:
- Continuous Improvement
This award, along with being recognized as a Best Workplace in America by our industry (PIA/GATF), has reaffirmed our commitment to lead, not follow when it comes to high business standards and respect for the individual.
An independent panel of judges comprised of individuals with an expertise in business ethics drawn from business, academic, public service, media and consulting communities based its decision on published criteria that includes:
- Executive Commitment to Business Ethics
- Company Ethics Program
- Conflict Resolution Procedures
- Demonstration of Sound Ethical Business Practices
- Demonstration of Good Corporate Citizenship
The Rochester Business Ethics Awards are sponsored and organized by the Rochester Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the Rochester Business Alliance, and St. John Fisher College.
